魏建和，1970年生，籍贯福建，药用植物学家，药用植物研究所研究员，博士生导师。1988年考入北京农业大学（现中国农业大学）植物遗传育种专业，1992年获得学士学位。1999年在中国协和医科大学生药学专业攻读硕士学位，从事药用植物基因资源与分子育种研究。2003年在中国中医科学院中药学专业攻读博士学位，从事药用植物基因资源与分子育种研究。1998年升为助理研究员。2004年升为副研究员。2007年升为研究员。2020年聘为北京协和医学院长聘教授。2006年起任中国医学科学院药用植物研究所海南分所所长。2009年起任中国医学科学院药用植物研究所副所长。

主要从事药用植物基因资源与分子育种研究。包括大宗中药材品质等性状遗传、组学研究及优良品种选育，诱导型药用植物诱导分子机制及高效诱导技术研究，濒危野生药材野变家研究，药用植物种质资源收集和保存研究等。
